Award-Winning Year for The Milky Way

It was awarded Silver in the Large Visitor Attraction Category at the awards, having been competing in the awards against attractions from a huge area stretching from Cornwall to Salisbury to Gloucester.

This latest mark of recognition comes after The Milky Way was named the Best Large Visitor Attraction in Devon at the 2016 Visit Devon Awards in November,  the Best Attraction at the 2016 North Devon Food, Drink & Tourism Awards and having been the only attraction in Devon to win a prestigious and rare TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award  in 2016.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have won another award - everyone here has worked so hard for it,” said partner Tara Stanbury. “We've updated and added to The Milky Way a lot over the past few years, and every member of staff really goes the extra mile to make sure our visitors have a great time, so it’s great to know that it's all been worthwhile.”

The South West Tourism Awards are judged by industry experts, and entrants are assessed in areas including value for money, customer service, and overall experience.
