Competition time sky watchers......over the next few nights the Perseid Meteor Shower will be visible in the night skies. It's one of the most spectacular and brightest meteor showers with between 50 and 100 meteors per hour often leaving a trail behind them.
You do not need a telescope to see them and will be best viewed between midnight and dawn on Saturday or Sunday evening.
