The fun includes a massive Easter treasure hunt from Friday 25th March until Sunday 10th April with an ‘Eggs Galore’ scratch card game that offers a guaranteed chocolate egg for every child aged 1 to 12 years – plus there are 1000’s of other prizes to be won including an iPad, a family annual pass and vouchers to spend in their shop!
From Friday 25th March to Friday 1st April visitors can also expect daily visits from the Easter bunny as he spreads some Easter excitement around the site. What’s more, fans of Peter Rabbit will be delighted to hear that the adventurous little rabbit will be appearing at intervals throughout the day on Easter Sunday 27th March.
Then on Saturday 2nd of April you can meet and have your picture taken with Storm Troopers and other characters from the legendary Star Wars films as they patrol the park throughout the day. This is all thanks to the 501st UK Garrison, the world's largest and most accurate Star Wars costume character club. The Garrison are all volunteers who donate 100% of their appearance fees to charity.
“The highlight of Easter for me will be the visit of the UK Garrison on the 2nd April. It really is quite something to have Storm Troopers guarding the entrance to the park as you arrive! But visitors are going to love all of the extra Easter entertainment this year – we had such a fantastic award winning year in 2015 that we’re determined to kick off the 2016 season in style.” said Marten Stanbury, owner.
Opening for 2016 is an amazing display of sci-fi memorabilia - one man’s vast private collection of characters, collectables and fan art from film and TV…from Daleks to Darth Vader!
Marten Stanbury said, “In addition to the Star Wars event day on the 2nd April, sci-fi fans can also look forward to viewing Dave Bailey’s incredible private collection of memorabilia. We’ve been working hard to get the collection ready but there really is so much of it that it’s taking longer than anticipated!” He continued, “Dave has donated the collection in the hope of raising some funds for Make-A-Wish®- a fantastic charity that grants wishes to children with life threatening conditions. The park price hasn’t been increased this year but people who visit the sci-fi collection are invited to make a voluntary donation to the charity.”
Of course you can look forward to all of the usual attractions on offer at North Devon’s multi award winning day out with rides, slides, shows and activities designed to entertain the whole family – including the innovative Little Stars play centre designed for babies to pre-schoolers. With over 110,000 sq feet of indoor fun & acres of outdoor activities, The Milky Way is the biggest all weather, family day out in North Devon. It’s designed to be fun for parents as well as kids and there are no hidden extras…with the extra fun at Easter all included in the normal entry price.
